Blanket Cleaning in Bakırköy

Bakırköy is not one kind of district. The Ataköy blocks were built in eleven stages starting in 1957 — the first stage finished in 1962, the second in 1964 — while the tower beside Ataköy Marina was handed over in 2023. That six-decade span changes how a carpet leaves the building: in the older stages we roll up anything that will not fit the lift and carry it down the stairs, and in the newer residences we work through the security desk and the covered car park.

Block car park entrances in Ataköy fill up during the day. Bakırköy collections are therefore booked for a set hour, and the van stops at the block entrance only briefly. Some streets in Yeşilköy cannot be parked on at all; there we take the carpet from the top of the street.

We drive to Bakırköy every day of the week and return the washed carpet within three days. Silk, bamboo, wool, hand-woven wool, Yağcı Bedir and shaggy rugs are the ones that come most often from this district, and each is washed on its own, on a programme suited to its fibre. We have served Bakırköy for years.
