Blanket Cleaning in Fatih

Fatih is the oldest settled part of Istanbul: the historic peninsula enclosed by the Byzantine walls, the Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara. In 1995 it was designated a first-degree archaeological and urban conservation area. The practical consequence is that the building stock here cannot be demolished and rebuilt the way it is elsewhere, and the street pattern has stayed largely as it was for centuries.

That makes a collection here unlike anywhere else in the city. The district sits on seven hills, so the streets are both narrow and steep, and many buildings have no lift. In Fatih a carpet is usually rolled and carried down the stairs, the van waits at the top of the street, and the last stretch is done on foot. Appointments are planned with that in mind — this is not work to rush.

We drive to Fatih every day of the week. Timing depends on the item: carpets and duvets are returned fully dry in about three working days, while sofas and mattresses are cleaned in your home and are ready to use the same day, within a few hours.
